Im bying from Hobbyking in HK, I was flying fixed wing before and gave it up some years ago, now I'm feeling eager to get back
to the hobby again and the Heli (HK450GT) seems exiting, I read that helis are sentitive and requires the 2.4Ghz band.
As I want to reuse my old stuff the Multiplex Cockpit MM came in to place
This is why I ended up in your forum.
I understand that thewre is a Hobbyking store in netherlands as well, would you suggest to purchase through that store instead of hongkong?

The dutch HK store has not much products yet but its getting more every week.
Still i recommend to buy cheap or low weight product from hongkong and only heavy or expensive products locally to avoid customs and taxes.

Hello,
Had to order my HK450GT from China, all stuff i needed was on backorder/not available here in europe.
I calculated that with customs, taxes and shipping it would be slightly cheaper to by from europe, but.. out of stock..

Anyway- Im preparing my old radio and found a issue with the battery connector. I needed to get a new battery and after installing it I noticed that pressing the battery connector to the very bottom of the holder on the circuit board slot it did not power the system.
I had to "lift" the connector - say 3mm to get power. Have any of you experianced that?
Makes me nervous if the radio dies

I might solder the cables to the board or glues the connector in place - any tips greatly appreciated

About soldering, what effect of a soldering iron is suitable for the 2.4 mod?
I have a 100W, I assume that's ok right?

The 100watts might be a bit to mutch... If you have to solder on the PCB itself...use a 40W max!

about your connector problem...try re-soldering the joints on the transmitters pcb. This might help..

Helaas zijn de foto's niet meer te zien.
Is het mogelijk om die te plaatsen of een beschrijving van het ombouwen te sturen.

Jammer van de foto's want het was een mooi bouwdraadje. Misschien dat ik even wat foto's van mijn gebakkie kan maken. Het is elkgeval zeer de moeite waard om hem om te bouwen want met de cockpit MM vlieg ik al jaren met deze module. De zender kan nog goed mee ondanks zijn leeftijd.
